About Me
Welcome! I’m Renata de Castro, the heart behind Her Sacred Cradle. As an Ayurvedic practitioner, birth and postpartum doula, and former educator, my passion lies in empowering women to embrace their innate wisdom and reconnect with the sacredness of their bodies. My journey began with my own experiences of disconnection and fear, which I transformed through the teachings of Ayurveda and yoga. These practices prepared me for the most transformative event of my life—birthing my children (1 at home) in alignment with my intuition and the natural rhythms of my body.
At Her Sacred Cradle, I’ve woven together the following four pillars to guide women on their journeys of healing, empowerment, and self-discovery:
-
Trust in Your Body’s Wisdom: Reclaim the confidence that your body holds the answers for healing, birth, and overall well-being.
-
Strong Mind-Body Connection: Strengthen your connection to your inner self, fostering balance and trust in life’s natural rhythms.
-
Empowerment Through Knowledge: Equip yourself with the information and tools you need to make informed choices about your health and birth.
-
Bio-Energetic Alignment: Align your diet, lifestyle, and daily practices with your unique bio-energetics for greater harmony and vitality.
Through Ayurveda, I help women optimize their menstrual cycles, digestion, fertility, and birth experiences while honouring the root and sacral chakras—the energetic centres of creation, intuition, and trust. I am deeply committed to holding space for your transformation, nurturing your ability to feel at home in your body and make choices that honour your individuality and innate power.

Her Sacred Cradle
Some may dub it the junk drawer of emotions.
It's met with shame, and seen as an inconvenience to some.
It's a sacred space where mysteries convene.
However, it holds the answers, deep and profound, to our health, our digestion, and where life is bound.
The entire world has been cradled in one.
So, however you refer to it...
I like to call it her sacred cradle.
